Harrier GR3's - XZ132 / XV790
Two RAF Harriers from 3Sqn RAF Gutersloh collided in the Riddles Hope area of Redesdale while participating in exercise 'Mallet Blow'. The aircraft was part of a 6 plane package attacking targets within the Otterburn range complex. Both crew members were unfortunately killed, one being an US exchange pilot.
On the 5th November, Photo reconnaissance Canberra PR9 XH135 (callsign "FNK87") operated out of Newcastle to film the crash site.
